Nuda X-Cross by Touratech

What do you think about this!!!

The Husqvarna Nuda has been widely praised for its ease of use and rider reward on the road, but how will go offroad? The Erzberg enduro awaits...
What happens when a company that has only ever made dirt bikes, makes a road bike, which is then transformed into a dirt bike?

Answer: the Nuda X-Cross.

Built by Touratech, the project began as a Husqvarna Nuda 900R and went through a metamorphosis that saw several durable parts added, such as headlight and radiator protection, along with an engine bash plate, plus upgraded front forks and rear suspension.

Knobby tyres have been fitted as have bark busters and new pegs.

The bike has been developed to be robust and it'll need to be too, because it was designed for one thing - completing the world's most gruelling enduro, the Erzberg Rodeo.

The hardcore Austrian event often sees 1500 riders taking part, but only a small fraction of those ever finish, but Touratech hopes to see its Nuda X-Cross complete the event which runs between June 7 and 10.

The bike certainly won't be as light as some of its rivals but durability is the key to finishing at Erzberg.

Riding the Husqvarna Nuda X-Cross at the Erzberg enduro will be four-time German Enduro champion Marco Straubel. Touratech reckons it wasn’t difficult in getting him onboard either - it just mentioned "Touratech" and "Erzberg" and apparently he was in.

Touratech Managing Director Jochen Schanz said the Nuda X-Cross will be up to the challenge.

"We test our products and designs under the toughest conditions, on long distance travels, which are a real test of the equipment, as well as on hard enduro events. Only products which pass these tests will meet our customers' requirements," said Mr Schanz
